No âmbito da iniciativa ‘Governo + Próximo’, o Primeiro-Ministro António Costa e o Ministro da Economia António Costa e Silva visitaram as instalações da TMG Automotive em Vila Nova de Famalicão.

Esta recente unidade industrial representou um investimento superior a 55M€, refletindo uma  aposta contínua em inovação, sendo uma referência global nas matérias da sustentabilidade económica, ambiental e social.

A TMG Automotive é hoje o segundo maior player europeu no setor em que opera, conta três unidades fabris, duas das quais em Portugal e uma na Ásia, para além de uma longa e bem sucedida parceria que vem mantendo nos EUA.

No final da visita o primeiro-ministro António Costa reiterou que “todos nós verdadeiramente conhecemos, porventura sem saber, os produtos da Têxtil Manuel Gonçalves, designadamente da TMG Automotive, porque na maioria dos carros em que nós circulamos há um bocadinho do trabalho que esta empresa faz”. Terminou felicitando a empresa e os seus colaboradores pelo contributo que dão para a indústria portuguesa, para a economia portuguesa e para o prestígio da marca Portugal no mundo.

Prime Minister António Costa and Minister of Economy António Costa e Silva, visited the facilities of TMG Automotive in Vila Nova de Famalicão as part of the initiative 'Governo + Próximo'.

This recent industrial unit accounts for an investment of over €55M, reflecting a continuous commitment to innovation and is a global reference in economic, environmental, and social sustainability.

TMG Automotive is now the second largest European player in its sector, with three production units, two of which are located in Portugal and one in Asia, in addition to a long and successful partnership in the United States.

At the end of the visit, Prime Minister António Costa referred that " we are all familiar with the products, but most of us don’t realize that these were made in Têxtil Manuel Gonçalves, specifically in TMG Automotive…  most of the cars we drive include work done by this company“. He ended intervention by congratulating the company and its employees for their contribution to the Portuguese industry, the Portuguese economy, and the prestige of the brand Portugal in the world.
